Pune is a rambling city in the western Indian province of Maharashtra. It was at one time the base of the Peshwas (head administrators) of the Maratha Empire, which endured from 1674 to 1818. It’s known for the excellent Aga Khan Palace, implicit 1892 and now a remembrance to Mahatma Gandhi, whose remains are safeguarded in the nursery. The eighth century Pataleshwar Cave Temple is committed to the Hindu god Shiva.
